Practice and Action (P&A) Projects, which are community-based and result-oriented, aim to transform public awareness into behavioural practices of individuals to achieve in waste reduction and carbon emission reduction. Such projects should bring about sustained and tangible effect in local communities.
Practice and Action Projects are categorised in the following themes:
Waste Reduction at Source and Waste Recycling
•Waste Reduction at Source Action
•Food Waste Recycling
•Surplus Food Recovery
Single-Use Plastics Reduction Action
Clean Shorelines / Clean Shorelines (Small Scale)
Carbon Neutrality / Low Carbon Living
Biodiversity
Clean Air
Other theme
Each P&A Project should normally last for not more than 2 years, unless with justifications accepted by or as required by the ECF Committee for specific reason(s). For “Clean Shorelines (Small Scale) Projects”, the project duration should not be more than 6 months. For projects from first-time applicant organisations, the project duration normally should not be more than 1 year.
Applications can be submitted online through Smart ECF or by email.
(Note: Paper-based applications submitted in any methods would NOT be accepted in this round of application.)
Under normal circumstances, application(s) submitted by an applicant organisation with two on-going projects under the same funding scheme will not be approved.

For each round of new application, the Secretariat of the Environment and Conservation Fund Committee (the Secretariat) will organise briefing session for organisations to understand the application requirements.
