Project Status/Remarks: On-going

The aim of the project is to :

1. develop a sensor-based mobile network for high resolution spatial and temporal traffic air pollution measurement on Hong Kong roadways;
2. identify the air pollution hot spots of PM2.5 and NOx (NO and NO2) in Hong Kong roadway networks;
3. evaluate the impact of diesel goods and bus traffic on hot spot air quality and to provide evidence based bus route re-organization suggestions to reduce air pollution; and
4. document the trend of traffic related air pollution attributed to implementation of existing air and transport policies.
