Scope: To promote discussion and exchange of experience among environmental NGOs, academics and Government officials on atmospheric pollution in East Asia.

Summary of the Findings/Outcomes: The Workshop successfully promoted discussion and exchange of experience among environmental NGOs, academics and Government officials on air pollution issue among countries & areas within the region. The workshop exposed participants to first hand experience in atmospheric pollution in other countries in East Asia including China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia and Taiwan as well as the air pollution problem in Hong Kong. The Conservancy Association had published the proceedings of the workshop to document the papers presented and discussions in the workshop, it was believed that this proceeding would contribute to the atmospheric pollution control in Hong Kong.
